Meltdown Comics - Art Show

Little Monster - so cute!
This past weekend Lisa and I decided to venture out of San Diego and made our way to the lovely city of LA! Our cousin Lauren was having an artshow and since we've never actually been to an art show we decided this one was the perfect opportunity! We spent the day shopping all around Santa Monica - 3rd street Promenade and even had lunch outside at an Italian Cafe where there was live music. The weather was beautiful and the shops were amazing....Later on after a bit of old school "map reading" we got a little lost but made our way to Meltdown Comics on Sunset Blvd, where the gallery was held. It was definitely a sight to see, they had about 12 people's artwork displayed and it was really neat to see. Our favorite was the little monsters made out of clay - done by Lauren's friend Leslie. Lauren's boyfriend Andrew was even there displaying his artword too - he drove down 9 hours the night before to help Lauren showcase everything!!! Wow!!! We left around 9pm and headed home...it was a long long day but Lisa and I were so happy we went and got to see Lauren!

Estancia Hotel & Spa Resort - Anderson Wedding 2009

Garden Courtyard - Ceremony

Olive Garden - Cocktail Hour

Mustangs & Burrows Outside Patio - After party

La Jolla Ballroom - Reception

After months of going back and forth, yes's and no's, maybe's and kind of's we have finally decided on probably the perfect venue for our wedding....The Estancia Hotel & Spa in the beautiful city of San Diego, La Jolla. This is probably one of the most beautiful venue's in the San Diego area and Gregg and I are lucky enough to have our "once in a lifetime" wedding here!! My parents flew down over labor day weekend and we got to go on a full tour of the property. Luckily one of our best friends Laurel works as a Wedding Caterer on the property - so we are so thrilled that she is going to be helping us out with all the contracting and fun details. Laurel did the most amazing job showing my parents the entire property - Spa and Pool included!! They fell in love with it just like Gregg and I did the first time we saw it. It is such a secluded and private property there is almost a calmness when we were touring....not one thing is wrong with this place (compared to everything else we saw). We feel so blessed to be having our wedding at such a beautiful venue! Now that this out of the way all the madness is beginning (the fun stuff!!!!). We have an open house with Crate and Barrell for "pre-wedding" registry tips this Sunday from 9am-11am - free mimosas and appetizers included! Then we are meeting with our #1 photographer next Friday for a consulation (let's hope we can afford him), then the following week we meet with a prospective planner, Lynn. After that it's on to flowers and cake! Heck I could have this wedding in 3 months....well maybe not! Either way, we are so so happy about the Estancia and just want to shout it out all the time!!! Can't wait for October 18, 2009 ~ The big day!
