Happy Graduation Gregg!

Two weekends ago Gregg and 200 of his closest friends graduated from Thomas Jefferson School of Law! What an accomplishment it was!!!! My parents flew down from Sacramento to celebrate along with Gregg's entire family - including Uncles, brothers, sisters, sister-in-laws, parents and Grandparents. We all attended Symphony Hall in downtown San Diego for the ceremony - the best part was watching all of our friends get "hooded" (a special ceremony they perform once they get on stage). Now Gregg, Ashley, Ana and Talia can all say theye are true Juris Doctors!!!! An interesting fact that one of the speakers mentioned as she was giving her speech was the fact that only 1.5% of the population has this type of degree. It was so amazing to know that I'm going to marry such an amazing guy who chose to go above and beyond in his education path and that he'll really make a difference in this world with the career path that he chosen!! Congratulations Baby!!!
Here's a picture of Sidd, Jay and myself otherwise known as "non-law school kids". We are the husbands and soon to be wives of our favorite law schoolers - a bond that we will forever share. I love these boys!!! Probably the only ones that I can really relate to!
Here's one of my favorite pictures of the weekend. Up above is my mom, Gregg's mom Cheri, and Gregg's Grandma Anderson and ME! Just a little piece of my family and Gregg's family coming together! Cheri and Gregg's Grandma accompanied both my Mom and Dad to my first dress fitting that took place on Friday night. It was so special to have all 3 of them there. Cheri and Grandma especially loved it because his Grandma raised 3 boys, while Cheri rasied 5 - so I was the first girl they had gone dress fitting with - yay!

My favorite Law School girls - minus Talia! I love these girls tremendously, they have truly made our law school experience a happy one! The past three years have just flown by and I know that we will all be friends forever - especially since we've got our new traveling tradition happening every year for the rest of our lives! Congrats Ash and Ana bee!

Here's my Dad and Mom and I waiting for my future husband to take the stage! I was so happy they came to see Gregg walk and for them just to hang out in San Diego! Maybe they'll get the hint that we'd like them to MOVE DOWN! :)

And a final picture of 3/4 graduates! How handsome does Gregg look!? I decided to order all of the girls yellow lei's (for friendship) and I got Gregg a pretty white one (because I knew he wanted to be different than the girls). Such big smiles on their faces!!! Yay TJSL!

Gettin' Fit 2 Wed

That's me - week 4! Only 3 lbs to my 6wk goal!

About 5 weeks ago I started a new Bridal Bootcamp called "Fit 2 Wed". My friend Jessica that I've known since I lived in the dorms is really good friends with my old roommate Becky. During Beckys bridal shower about 2.5 years ago Jessica had told me that she had invested all her time and money into starting out on her own by creating a new company called "Get Fit 2 Wed" for all brides and bridemaids who wanted to get in shape before the big day! I told Jess that if and when I ever got married, I'd be joining the class! Now, almost 2.5 years later I am an official bootcamp member and I LOVE IT!

In the class we also have food journals where we need to write down, how many hours of sleep we get a night, how many fruit, vegetable and water servings we eat/drink a day. The day of the week, the date, what times of the day we are eating and at the same time totalling up our daily caloric intake. Jessica says that this is 80% of our weight loss, SERIOULY 80% so I have been really diligent about mine and I've even tried to decorate it a little bit, to make it more motivating to write in!!! Writing down what you eat all day every day can kind of be a daunting task!

The inside of my journal - I put a picture of Gregg and I as a "visual motivator" - I would have put a picture of my wedding gown but I was afraid that Gregg might see it!

The outside of my fabulous journal - yay!

I attend the Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday morning classes. Saturday's are by far the toughest.....this past weekend we had to run to the basketball courts (1.5 miles) then proceed to run uphill 4 times, 2 of the runs were timed and then had to run all the way back to finish up with a killer ab work out. WOW! I am DEFINITELY huffing and puffing and running and jumping and lunging and stretching, BUT I know that all this hard work is going to make me feel like the most beautiful bride ever on my big day...hooray!

Amanda is such a trooper and is actually doing the class with me even though she just got married last month - talk about motivation and perserverance. Luckily we live in neighboring apartment complex's so the ride there isn't as daunting when I know I can chat with my Tom on the way to class. Nic, is also doing this class with me. Her wedding is literally a month before mine so having her with me is sooo incredibly motivating - I love having them both by my side!!! We call each other "the froggie's" because of an incredible frog story that Nic sent both of us at work. I'll find it and paste it at a later blog...

As Jessica says "Have a Healthy and Happy Day!"

Harley....Har Har Anderson

Since we moved to our new apartment, Harley has been such a treat (as always). He has been so good about not chewing the carpet or eating any of our new furniture...hopefully our training has paid off. He is such a precious little animal and Gregg and I consider him to be the missing link in our tiny family. The other day I took sooo many shots of him, some are super close up - but they turned out adorable.....I hope he'll always have that puppy face even when he grows old.
I love my little boo boo!!

Goodbye TJSL!

The long awaited day has finally arrived.....
GREGG IS GRADUATING LAW SCHOOL!!

Lawyer to be and Me!
One of our many attempts at a "jumping photo"

Sooo good except for his head is cut off - dang!

**Here's the winning picture**
Handsome devil
Words cannot even express how excited I am for Gregg to be done with school and to close this chapter in our lives. It has been a tough and challenging road for the both of us, but I must say that through it all we have grown so much as a couple and have learned so much more about each other. It's amazing to think that 3 years of our lives have already flown by.....Not only would we have never challenged our relationship and grow together as a couple, but we would have never had the opportunity to get to know some of our very best friends that we have met through this law school experience.

I remember when I first told people that Gregg was attending law school, some of the looks and comments that I got. People told me that it was going to be a "tough road ahead" and kept saying "good luck!" Even in Gregg's 1L (first year) orientation, they told him that if they were in a "fairweather" type of relationship that it probably wouldn't last through school and that this was the hardest test that any relationship could endure. Reason being that when in law school your relationship goes on the back burner, not by choice but just by the nature of the game.
Now that 3 years of our lives have gone by and we are now engaged to be married, I can atest that Gregg and I are stronger than ever and more confident than we've ever been that we were made to share our lives together. I am so proud of him for all the many hours he's put into his education (even right now for example, he is in the other room studying for his last 2 finals, EVER) and for his willingness to NEVER give up. The sacrifices that he's made along with all of our other law school friends is so inspiring and so motivating that it's a priviledge to be with and to know all of them.

**Congratulations TJSL Class of 2009**

Before Gregg sent out his announcements he asked me to take a few pictures of him in his suit so that he could put them in the card. We ended up having a mini-photo shoot and above is the result of what we shot! He ended up sending out the one with the book over his head - We figured that most people classify lawyers as "serious and boring people" - well guess again folks, I have a VERY animated lawyer as my fiance!!!

Two is always better than one!

Gregg, Harley and I decided to take the big plunge and move out of our nicely 'worn in' one bedroom apartment into a gorgeous two bed, two bath apartment in the city of La Jolla. We both felt that we had outgrown our old apartment and we were ready to for a new change. Since we'll be married in only 5 months, we figured that it would be better to move into a two bedroom now so that when people came to stay with us, they wouldn't have to subjected to sleeping on the floor, an air mattress or our couch. I think having 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 closets is a lot more work - cleaning-wise, but at this point I wouldn't trade it for anything else in the world. I love our new apartment!!! Here are some pictures below of the new and old place before we moved out! And of course a little snapshot of the baby!
Harley wasn't exactly ready to move just yet.....
Our old mess of a place, this was only PART of it...yikes!

Also I have to give a little shoutout to our landlords who are the greatest people ever! Not only have they given us some great wedding tips since they recently got married, but they left a beautiful arrangement of flowers and a little welcome home card for us on the day we moved in -

**Thank you Nava and Sadie**
