the hill of apples

One of the best things about creating your own family is creating your own family traditions. For years, I have enjoyed going to Apple Hill. A family tradition that I plan on doing yearly with our children. It's here where you get to experience that true 'fall' atmosphere. You get to indulge in delicious treats like homemade fudge, caramel apples, baked apple fritters, hot apple donuts, incredible spiked (and non spiked) apple cider and of course spend time with family.

Gregg and I wanted to take Miles on our own this year just the two of us for our first trip up this year. The drive was a quick 35 minutes and we arrived around 11am. There was still a line of cars to get into one of the more popular orchards, High Hill. Luckily, we got a great spot and headed in! Miles was in heaven. He was awake and looking around at everything and didn't make a PEEP! We seriously enjoyed our trip so much as a family of three and couldn't wait to go back!

Just last weekend, we found out that Gregg's parents were going to be in town and that his cousins, aunts and uncles were also going to apple hill that Sunday so we decided to tag along. They are a bit older so they got to enjoy some of the crafts and all of them built their own candle! They also did some pony rides and ate lots of yummy donuts! We loved spending time with our adorable nieces and nephews and can't wait until Miles gets to run and play with them one day.
Favorite part of the day was when Gregg was feeding Miles and Marianne came up to him and said "I bet he can't finish that whole bottle he's too little" - lol!
