bye bye lima bean

soooo can you tell what's happening with this post from the pictures???

Yep that's right, my beloved little Honda needs a new.....a new......a new....

engine

All together now, uggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggh. So on the way to take Bachan out to dinner for her birthday my car was making some funny noises. Similar to the funny noises that it was making the day before when I drove to Plesanton to visit Jennison (see yesterday's post). Now it was partly our fault that Gregg and I decided to take MY car since it had been making noises, but after I had put some oil in it, it was driving just fine. Anyway back to the story....so as we were heading past Plesanton Gregg started to hear that same 'rattling' noise. He noticed that my RPM's weren't working and everytime he'd try to go faster he could hear that the RPM's weren't 'catching on'. Lovely. So first it started with 60 miles an hour....then 40....then 20....then ooohhh crap. We ended up pulling off the next exit and amazingly turned into a mall parking lot. This mall in fact. Thankfully it was a godsend that we got off at that particular exit since it was NO JOKE 101 degrees that day.

Long story short, this is where I feel so blessed to be part of the Anderson Family. They are all so handy with anything 'car' related. YES! We called Gregg's dad who managed to come rescued us and our car. Another reason we are so thankful to be living near family now. So for the time being, I am car-less and it's really sucky. Gregg now drives me to work every morning and picks me up when I'm done. Did I mention that I work at 6:00am in the morning - yep that's love!

We are in the process of figuring out what to do with my car, my engine, my NEW car, etc. etc. If you look closely at my pictures you'll see that I put that picture of my car and a split second shot of that pretty white lexus as a "sign" that I should be getting this car next. Gregg just laughed....but I didn't think it was all that funny.

ahhhhhhhhhhh oh no!!!!!!!!!! That's terrrrrible...surely getting a 'newer'/used car would be more cost efficient than a WHOLE NEW ENGINE...right??!!!
